GRADELINK PORTAL

Access All parents who have email addresses on file with the school have been sent their username and password either at the beginning of the school year or when they enrolled their child(ren) during the year. Upper class-men may also have their own username and password which allows them access to their class pages, grades, and assignments.

(Please note that these usernames and passwords will roll over into the new year if you are continuing with the school.)

If you have forgotten your username or password, once you click on the Gradelink Portal button below, please click the “Forgot Password” link. You will need to use the email address that the school has on file. If you are still unable to access the portal, please contact the school.

INFORMATION

Morning Drop Off/Afternoon Pickup
Students should be dropped off between 7:00 am and 7:40 am and picked up promptly at 2:30 pm. In order to promote student safety, we ask that parents use the front driveway for morning drop offs only; the VA Hall parking lot may be used for dropping off and picking up students.
The front parking area is reserved for SPA employees, visitors to the school and student drivers. At no time are the entrances to driveways and gates to be blocked, nor should anyone park on sidewalks. K3, K4 and K5 students must be picked up from their classrooms by an authorized adult. (Please note: Student supervision is not available before 7:00 am).
Attendance
South Pacific Academy requires that students attend school 95% of the school year, to be eligible for promotion to the next grade level or to pass a given course. It is inevitable that some students will need to be absent during the course of the year, however, regardless of the circumstances, numerous absences disrupt instruction and the learning process.
All absences (Excused or Unexcused) require an ‘Admit Slip’ issued by the office allowing a student to return to class.
If a student has unexcused absences, tardies or early departures that add up to a “pattern of non-attendance,” consequences may be imposed.
Please refer to teachers’ syllabi for class attendance/assignment requirements.
Full tuition will be charged in the event of absences.
An excused absence requires that a parent/guardian telephone the school at 699- 9845 on or before the morning of the absence and/or send a written note or medical certificate explaining the absence when the student returns. Failure to notify the school will result in an unexcused absence.

In order to provide teachers with sufficient time to prepare homework or make-up work, parents should make such request when they call in the student’s absence in the morning. Homework assignments may be picked up from 3:00 – 3:30 pm on the day of the absence. The student is responsible for making up any work missed during his/her absence.

School Closure
South Pacific Academy does not necessarily follow the DOE’s decisions to close schools due to weather or other events. School closures will be emailed to parents prior and/or during school closure, if possible – however, school closure will be announced on the radio; parents should make an effort to stay tuned to latest broadcasts in the event of inclement weather.

In the event the Academy is in session during an unexpected DOE closure, parents must provide breakfast and lunch for their child(ren).
Parents should provide the Administration any changes to emails and telephone numbers for emergency notification purposes.
